Day 3: FEZ

:Our local professional guide will show us the thousand and one details of this city. The medina of Fez is the largest in the Maghreb, with its labyrinthine streets. In order to appreciate it, we will visit it during the day, but then, at sunset, it also changes completely, during the day it is a bustling city full of people wandering around the shops, shopping or just watching, but at sunset it acquires another, more relaxed dimension.


:After breakfast we will leave for the desert of Merzouga, we will cross the mountains of the Middle Atlas where beautiful and surprising landscapes await us, we will cross the locality of Ifrane “The Moroccan Switzerland”. We recommend today a small effort and getting up early to see how the sun appears between the dunes. The camels will bring us back to the riad for breakfast. Now the adventure will continue with the city of Rissani and its famous market, this city is the last commercial stop before the desert, its atmosphere is very different from what we have seen until now, we will continue towards the Gorges of the Todra River, very appreciated by climbers, a place to take a walk and also enjoy the curious emergences of the river, after this visit we will continue towards Ouarzazate by the Route of the Thousand and One Kasbahs. Before we continue to the Valley of Roses very well known for the massive cultivation of roses, Finally, we arrive in Ouarzazate where we spend the night.


In the morning we visit the very interesting Taourirt Kashba and a fortified palace where to get lost in their rooms connected by labyrinthine corridors and stairs. From the top of its towers we will have a panoramic view of the medina, then visit one of the most amazing places in Morocco, the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the best preserved and declared World Heritage by UNESCO, in the afternoon continue to Marrakech, crossing the mountain pass of Tizi’n Tichka, the highest point of this route will be 2,280 meters so we enjoy extraordinary landscapes.
