New Year’s Eve in the Desert
Now easier: your New Year’s Eve in the Desert can start in Rabat, Tangier or Fez
Three options depending on your flights: from Tangier, Rabat or Fez, and, of course from Marrakech, Casablanca or from wherever you are
December 2023 to January 2024
Tangier
This is your New Year’s Eve in the Desert if you arrive by Tangier, either by plane, by ferry or by car (contact us, we have minibus routes from anywhere in Spain or Portugal to Tangier)
Day 1: Reception by your accompanying driver and transfer to your accommodation in Tangier.
Day 2: Breakfast. Through such emblematic places with Tetuan, Chefchaouen and Fez we will reach Midelt where we will spend the night. Accommodation and dinner at the Hotel Les Meteorites or similar.
Day 3: Breakfast. An authentic experience awaits us today. Our 4×4 vehicles will lead us to the Ouzina desert. We will leave from Midelt, in the Middle Atlas, to finally reach the Ouzina desert. If time permits, we will make a tutored astronomical observation when the moon sets. Dinner and accommodation at Riad Ouzina TGM.
Day 4: Breakfast. Today we will enjoy the whole day of the Erg de Ouzina, we will eat Couscous and “Pizza Berber” in the town of Ouzina. In the afternoon we will begin the preparations to say goodbye to the end of the year, we will have a magnificent special dinner, music, dance, chimes, party favors and more music. A unique and unforgettable farewell to the year at the Riad Ouzina TGM.
Day 5: Breakfast. Rest morning after the fun goodbye of the year. We will resume the track of the Paris Dakar rally to the town of Khamlia where we can listen to the traditional Gnawa music brought by descendants of slaves from the sub-Saharan regions. Now we will arrive at Merzouga to enjoy the desert and continue the route, again, to Midelt. Accommodation at the Meteorites Hotel or similar.
Day 6: Breakfast, transfer to Tangier where we will arrive late at night. Accommodation and dinner.
Day 7: Breakfast. At the agreed time, transfer to your return transportation terminal. Ar Tawaltt Yadnin (Until next time)
Rabat
This is your New Year’s Eve in the Desert if you arrive by Rabat.
Day 1: Reception by your accompanying driver at the Rabat airport and transfer to the city of Midelt in the middle of the Middle Atlas. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel Les Meteorites.
Day 2: Breakfast. An authentic experience awaits us today. Our 4×4 vehicles will lead us to the Ouzina desert. We will leave from Midelt, in the Middle Atlas, to finally reach the Ouzina desert. If time permits, we will make a tutored astronomical observation when the moon sets. Dinner and accommodation at Riad Ouzina TGM.

Fez
This is your New Year’s Eve in the Desert if you arrive by Fez.
Day 1: Reception by your accompanying driver at Fez airport. Dinner and accommodation at Riad Hala or similar.
Day 2: Breakfast. We will cross the Middle Atlas until we reach Merzouga. Accommodation and dinner at Riad Azawad or similar, next to the Erg Chabbi dunes.
Day 3: Breakfast. An authentic experience awaits us today. Our 4×4 vehicles will lead us to the Ouzina desert. We will leave from Merzouga and, through the old Paris Dakar rally track, we will reach the Ouzina desert. If time permits, we will make a tutored astronomical observation when the moon sets. Dinner and accommodation at Riad Ouzina TGM.
Day 4: Breakfast. Today we will enjoy the whole day of the Erg de Ouzina, we will eat Couscous and “Pizza Berber” in the town of Ouzina. In the afternoon we will begin the preparations to say goodbye to the end of the year, we will have a magnificent special dinner, music, dance, chimes, party favors and more music. Day 5: Breakfast. Full day to rest, enjoy the desert, get to know the Berber culture. Dinner and accommodation at Riad Ozuina TGM
Day 6: Breakfast. We will resume the track of the Paris Dakar rally to the town of Khamlia where we can listen to the traditional Gnawa music brought by descendants of slaves from the sub-Saharan regions. Continuation of the trip to Fez. Accommodation at Riad Hala or similar.
Day 7: Breakfast. At the agreed time, transfer to the Fez airport for your return flight. Ar Tawaltt Yadnin (Until next time)
