Day 1: Marrakech – High atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

The first day of your 4 days Ouzina sahara desert tour from Marrakech to Fes departs from the meeting point in Marrakech and drive to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains.  We will make small stops on the way to approach the beautiful landscapes that surround us and see multitude of authentic Berber villages.

In the Ounila Valley we will visit Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, a 13th century fortified village classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 1987. We will walk through its beautiful and intricate interior that has been the scene of numerous films.

We will continue through  the Roses Valley , with stops to take photos until we reach Dades Valley. In this place, we get to see different geological features , we will enjoy impressive views.  Dinner and overnight in riad recommended by Family Morocco Tour

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Tafraoute – Ramlia – Ouzina Desert

After breakfast, we will depart from Dades Valley towards Todra Gorges, enter the 14 km long Todra Valley and take a pleasant walk through its interior.

Then we go back to our road towards the south crossing Berber villages, we will drive by the tracks of the old Rally Paris Dakar and we will visit the village of Ramlia to arrive at the village of Ouzina. Ouzina is a Berber village in a spectacular setting very close to the Algerian border.

Day 3: Ouzina Desert – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, visit to Ouzina village , spend  few moments with the inhabitants, visit the Berber oven and orchards of the village where its inhabitants live.

Then we will leave the village and go to locate in the desert with a nomadic family, have tea with them and learn more about their lives, which are so different from ours and that will make us know the culture of nomads and how they live in the desert.

We will say goodbye to the nomad family and go to Erg Chebbi in the desert of Merzouga with the 4×4 again by the old track of the Paris Dakar Rally.  Before we arrive at the village of Merzouga we will pass through Khamlia village  , the black Berber community  originally from Sub-sahara African countries , there we will have lunch with “Bereber Pizza ” and listen to Gnawa spiritual music.

Now our camels will take us to the tents in our camp, during the ride we will enjoy the impressive sunset on the great dunes of Erg Chebbi of Merzouga.

Once in the camp and after a delicious dinner, you will have the opportunity to attend a traditional Berber music show while watching the firmament in the impressive Sahara Desert.

We will spend the night in a fully equipped tent with private bathroom and shower.

Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz river valley – Midelt – Cedar forest – Ifrane – Fez

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise in the Sahara Desert after an excellent breakfast. After these beautiful moments, we will return by camel to the meeting point where our driver will be waiting for us, we leave towards Errachidia via Erfoud, we will reach Ziz valley , where we will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the oasis, we will continue towards Midelt through the pass of Tizi N’talghamt and lunch in Midelt, the city of apples. After lunch we will head to Fez through the cedar forest near Azrou in the middle Atlas mountain, with the possibility to see Barbary macaques, then we will make a stop in Ifrane, city that is called the ”Moroccan Switzerland”.
