Tour 10 days from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert, Erg Chebbi

Day 1: Marrakech

Arrival at Marrakech airport. Our accompanying driver will take you to your accommodation next to the medina of Marrakech. Accommodation in a charming riad selected by Family Morocco Tour.

Day 2: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

Breakfast. Transfer by motorway to Casablanca. Upon arrival, exterior visit to the surroundings of the majestic and highest in the world Hassan II Mosque. Continuation of the route to Rabat, to visit, in a panoramic way, the most outstanding places: Kasbah of the Oudayas, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Tower of Hassan II. Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen

Breakfast. We will go northwest to reach the city of Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, we will go up to a viewpoint and discover the reason for its beauty and its location. Then we will go down to the medina where you can walk through it. Accommodation.

Day 4 : Chefchaouen – Fez

Breakfast. After spending the morning in Chefchaouen we will go to Fez where we will arrive in the afternoon. Accommodation.

Day 5 : Fez. Cultural visit tour

Breakfast. Your local Fes guide will come to your accommodation to start a guided tour. Fez has known how to maintain its traditions, its crafts, its trades, and its university, one of the oldest in the world. Not surprisingly, Fez was considered “the city of Faith and Knowledge” becoming the capital of culture and one of the most important religious centers in the country.
We will visit its medina, called Bali, one of the largest medieval sites in the world and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, with its souks and alleyways, we will also visit the Royal Palace and its Jewish quarter. Accommodation.

Day 6: Fez – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga desert – dromedary ride

After a rich breakfast we will head south to cross the Middle Atlas Mountains until we reach Ifrane, called Moroccan Switzerland due to the alpine character of many of its buildings.
We will cross the famous cedar forests and we will be able to admire the Great Gouraud Cedar, the largest thousand-year-old cedar in the region and also feed the hundreds of Barbary Macaques that inhabit the area. In the afternoon we will arrive at the Ziz Valley, more than 20 km. of palm grove and 10 million palm trees makes it one of the largest in the world.
Arrival in the desert of Merzouga. Some dromedaries will be waiting for us to enter the heart of the dunes and contemplate an unforgettable sunset.
We will arrive at the camp where we will stay in luxury tents with private bathrooms.
Dinner and accommodation in the heart of the desert under a spectacular blanket of stars.

Day 7: Merzouga desert – Ouzina desert

After breakfast we will start the great route of the dunes, passing through the desert on the track of the old Paris Dakar Rally.
We will visit the Khamlia village where we will stop to enjoy the music of Gnawa and continue the route towards the Taouz village where we will re-enter the track of the old Paris Dakar Rally in the direction of the Erg de Ouzina and its town. Ouzina is an old Berber settlement very close to the Algerian border. Then we will go to the dunes of Erg de Ouzina where we will stay at Riad Ouzina TGM, his house in the desert recently designated as the only riad in the Starlight world.
After dinner, live Berber music with drums, an unforgettable experience.

Day 8: Ouzina – Berber villages – Ramlia – Tafraoute – Alnif – Tinerghir – Dades Gorges

We will leave the Riad Ouzina TGM towards the Ramlia village, we will continue along the same track of the aforementioned rally.
Along the way we will be accompanied by desert landscapes full of dunes, nomads and dromedaries until we reach the city of Alnif and the Todra Gorges near the city of Tinerhir.
At the end of a valley of palm trees and adobe villages, surrounded by steep and barren mountains. It is one of the most famous natural sights in Morocco, about 300 meters of wall along a kilometer. From here we will go to the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation in Boumalne Dades.

Day 9 : Boumalne Dades – Marrakech

In the morning and after breakfast, we will continue along the Route of the Thousand Kashbas to Ouarzazate. From this city, known for its great film studios, we will take the course of the Ounila river, there we will visit the Kasar of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and whose interest fully justifies a visit to this area of the Altas. Once again, the Ounila valley will lead us to the Kashba Taoulet, another historic and beautiful place and the last visit before arriving in Marrakech. Accommodation in riad.

Day 10 : Marrakech

Breakfast. Depending on the time of your flight and time of year, our certified local guide will pick you up at your accommodation to take you to discover Marrakech. Finally,

At the agreed time and place, transfer to the airport to take your return flight.
