11 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech by Sahara desert

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fez

We start our route from Tangier, pick up at Tangier airport at the time of arrival of the flight or ferry, departure towards the “blue city” of Chefchaouen where we will make a visit and, after lunch, continue to Fez.

Day 2: Fez

Breakfast, departure to visit Fez, the oldest imperial city in the country, we will see the Royal Palace and the Jewish Quarter, its medina, the exterior of the Mosque, and the Madrasa Al Bouanania and the University of Quaraouyne, rest of the day free to enjoy the art of shopping and haggling and finish the visit, free time.

Day 3: Fez – Merzouga

Breakfast and departure to Merzouga, before we meet the city of Ifrane, famous for its ski resort, then go through the volcanic area of Azrou and Cedros Forest, continue to the breathtaking and overwhelming Ziz Valley and Tafilalet, reach Merzouga to the very dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Day 4: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi-Merzouga

Breakfast, 4×4 ride through the dunes to reach the oasis of Tissartmin, and the village of Khamlia, Malian population, the mines of Mifiss. In the afternoon we will ride camels and climb to the high dunes to enjoy the sunset. Unforgettable night in luxury tents with private bathroom.

Day 5: Merzouga – Draa Valley

The early risers will have the chance to see the sunrise in the middle of the desert, we will go down on camels, have breakfast and leave towards Rissani, to visit its market (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday) We will continue towards Tazarine and N´Kob. After lunch, we will cross the Draa Valley where we will make several panoramic stops, we will visit the village of Agdz and, after crossing the Anti-Atlas, we will arrive at Ouarzazate. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Essaouira

Breakfast, visit Quarzazate and the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou declared World Heritage where films have been shot as Babel, Asterix and Obelix, Sahara, etc.. We will continue towards Essaouira passing by the highest point Tich´n Tichka, 2.260m. We arrive in Essaouira in the afternoon.

Day 7: Essaouira

Breakfast, free day to visit the Medina, declared a UNESCO Heritage Site, walk along the beach and taste fish and seafood freshly brought to the market.

Day 8: Essaouira – Marrackech

Breakfast, departure to Marrackech, we will arrive at midday, afternoon free. Accommodation in riad selected by Family Morocco Tour

Day 9: Marrakech

Breakfast and guided cultural tour of the city, walk through the gardens of the famous Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, streets of the Medina until ending in the square of Jemaa el Fna, free afternoon.

Day 10: Marrakech – Ouzoud waterfalls – Marrakech 

Breakfast and departure to Ouzoud waterfalls. The Family Morocco Tour team will lead you to the most famous waterfalls in Morocco, on the route you will be amazed by the amount of palm groves and their great mountains.We will arrive at the waterfalls of Ouzoud, in the province of Azilal, we will contemplate the 110 meters of waterfall, which are the ones that give strength to the waters of the river el-Abid, in the afternoon we will return to Marrakech.  The great imperial city of Morocco is the ideal starting point for some of the most interesting excursions in Morocco.

Day 11: Marrakech-Airport

Breakfast and transfer to the airport 3 hours before departure of the flight.
