4 days tour from Marrakech to Sahara desert Merzouga
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ouarzazate – Valley of Roses – Valley of Dades
•Our departure will be from your hotel in Marrakech. In the morning you will meet your driver and drive to Ouarzazate by passing the High Atlas mountains. We will stop along the way to take pictures and see the beautiful landscapes that surround us and see a multitude of authentic Berber villages.
• In the Ounila Valley we will visit the Ksar of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a 13th century fortified town classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We will walk through its beautiful and intricate interior that has been the setting for numerous movies.
• After We will continue our Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, through the Skoura palm grove until we reach Boumalne Dades.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Tafraoute – Ramlia – Ouzina Desert
• After breakfast we will drive towards Todra gorges. we will enter the Todra Valley, 14 km long, and we will take a walk through its interior discovering its vertical walls pierced by the river.
• After we will leave the road to the south through Berber villages. we will drive along the tracks of the old Paris Dakar Rally and visit the town of Ramlia, after ahead to Ouzina village. Ouzina is a Berber town in a spectacular setting founded by old nomadic families.
• Dinner and overnight at Riad Ouzina TGM in Ouzina, this riad in the desert recently nominated as a Starlight for its dedication to sustainable tourism and protector of dark skies.
Day 3: Ouzina desert – Merzouga desert
• After breakfast, visit the Ouzina town, we will live a few moments with the inhabitants, we will visit the Berber oven and the orchards of the town, incredibly located in the most apparent dryness.
• Later we will try to locate an authentic nomadic family in the heart of desert, and have a cup of tea with them and learn something more about their lives so different from ours and that will make you know the culture of the nomads and How they live in the desert
• After we leave the family nomads, we will drive to Erg Chebbi in the desert of Merzouga along the old track of the Paris Dakar Rally. Before reaching the town of Merzouga we will pass through the town of Khamlia, founded by emigrants from Central Africa, there where we will have lunch and we will try “Pizza Berber” and enjoying their Gnawa spiritual music.
• After this experience we will go to a place where some dromedaries are waiting for us to take us to the camp, during your camel ride we will enjoy the impressive sunset over the great dunes of Erg Chebbi
• Once we get in the camp and after a delicious dinner, you will have the opportunity to attend a traditional Berber music show while watching the sky in the impressive Sahara desert.
• We will spend the night in a fully equipped tent with a private bathroom.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Nkob – Draa Valley – Anti-Atlas – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
• During this day we will get up early to see the sunrise in the desert
• After sunrise and after breakfast, we will return by the vehicles to the asphalt to visit Rissani city, next to the old Sijilmassa, origine of the Alawite dynasty that currently reigns in Morocco.
• Next, we will go through the Berber villages of Alnif and N’Kob and through the Draa Valley to Agdez and continue to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains
• We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
