4 days tour from Fez to Marrakech by Sahara desert. 2 nights at the desert

Day 1: Fez – Merzouga

Our route from Fez-Marrakech beginsWelcome at the airport or at the hotel or riad where you are staying in FezWe will head south to cross the Middle Atlas Mountains until we reach Ifrane, called “the little Moroccan Switzerland” because of the great resemblance of many of its constructions.We will cross the famous forests of cedars and we will be able to admire the Great Cedar Gouraud, the biggest millenary cedar of the region and also to feed the hundreds of monkeys of Gibraltar that inhabit in the zone. Lunch in Midélt or in Rich and in the afternoon we will arrive at the Valley of Ziz, more than 20 km. of palm grove and 10 million palms turns it into one of the biggest of the world. Arrival to the desert of Merzouga. We will leave in a caravan of camels to enter the heart of the dunes and contemplate an unforgettable sunset. we will arrive with the camels to the camp where we will lodge in jaimas with private bathroom. Dinner  in the heart of the desert under a spectacular mantle of stars.

Day 2: Desert of Merzouga – Desert of Ouzina

After breakfast we will begin the great route of the dunes, passing through the desert by the track of the Dakar, we will know the village Khamlia where we will stop to enjoy the music of Gnawa, we will continue the route to the village Taouz where we will re-enter the track of the Dakar in the direction of the Erg of Ouzina and the village of Ouzina. Ouzina is an old Berber settlement very close to the Algerian border.

Day 3: Ouzina – Berber villages – Ramlia – Tafraoute – Alnif – Tinghiri – Dades Gorges

We will leave the Riad Ouzina TGM towards the Ramlia village, we will follow the same track as the Dakar Rally.On the way we will be accompanied by desert landscapes full of dunes, nomads and camels for about 3 hours until we reach Alnif and the Toldra Gorges near the town of Tinerhir, at the end of a valley of palm trees and adobe villages, surrounded by steep and barren mountains. It is one of the most famous natural views of Morocco, about 300 meters of wall along a kilometer, from here we will go to the Dades Gorges, Dinner and accommodation in a hotel or riad located in the Gorges.

Day 4: Dades Gorges- Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast we will head towards Ouarzazate, passing through the wonderful Valley of Roses, with a spectacular landscape of oases and ancient Kasbahs, many of them abandoned, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, the city of cinema where there are film studios, which we can visit.We will know the oldest Ksar of all Morocco named Patrimony of the Humanity, Ait Ben Haddou, where movies like Gladiator have been filmed, The Kingdom of the heavens… We will continue, crossing the mountains of the High Atlas, by a mountain pass of 2260 m.In the afternoon we will arrive at Marrakech.
