Route 4 days from Marrakech to Fez via Ouzina Desert

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ouarzazate – Valley of the Roses – Dades River Valley

• First thing in the morning your driver will pick you up at the agreed place in Marrakech to begin the tour to Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains.
• We will make small stops along the way to get closer to the beautiful landscapes that surround us and see a multitude of authentic Berber villages.
• In the Ounila Valley we will visit the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a 13th century fortified town classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We will walk through its beautiful and intricate interior that has been the scene of numerous film productions.
• We will continue through the Valley of the Roses, until we reach the town of Boumalne Dades. Dinner and overnight in riad recommended by Family Morocco Tour

Day 2: Dades River Valley – Todra River Gorges, Tafraoute – Ramlia – Ouzina desert

• After breakfast, we will leave the Dades Valley towards the Todra Gorges, we will enter the Todra Valley, 14 km long, and we will take a pleasant walk inside.
• Then we will drive through the tracks of the old Paris Dakar Rally and visit the town of Ramlia before arriving at Ouzina. Ouzina is a Berber village in a spectacular setting very close to the border with Algeria
• Dinner and overnight in our own riad and your second home in the desert, Riad Ouzina TGM, declared the only Starlight Riad in the world for its support of sustainable tourism and stargazing.

Day 3: Ouzina desert – Merzouga desert

• After breakfast, visit the Ouzina town, we will live a few moments with the inhabitants, we will visit the Berber oven and its orchards taken out of the desert as if by magic.
• Then we will go to locate a nomadic family in the desert, we will have tea with them and we will learn something more about their lives so different from ours and that will make us know the culture of the nomads and how they live in the desert.
• We will say goodbye to the nomadic family and we will go to Erg Chebbi in the Merzouga desert with the 4×4 again on the old track of the Paris Dakar Rally. Before reaching the town of Merzouga we will pass through the town of Khamlia, the town of the blacks originating from southern Africa, there we will have lunch with “Pizza Berber” and we will listen to music of a spiritual nature preserved by the inhabitants of this place called Gnawa music.
• Next to the dunes of the Merzouga desert, some dromedaries will take us to the tent camp, during the walk we will enjoy the impressive sunset over the great dunes of Erg Chebbi
• Once in the camp and after a delicious dinner, we will have the opportunity to attend a traditional Berber music show while observing the firmament in the impressive Sahara desert.
• We will spend the night in a fully equipped tent with a private bathroom.

Day 4 Merzouga – Ziz River Valley – Medilt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fez

• Today we recommend waking up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise in the Sahara desert, then an excellent breakfast will prepare us for today’s experiences.
• Now we will return by 4×4 from the camp to Errachidia via Erfoud, we will reach the Ziz river valley, where we will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of its palm grove, we will continue to Midelt through the Tizi N´talghamt pass and lunch in Midelt, the city of apples
• After lunch we will go to Fez through the cedar forest near Azrou, with the possibility of seeing the Barbary macaques, we will also make a stop in Ifrane, a city that likes to call itself Moroccan Switzerland.
• Arrival in Fez where your driver will transfer you to the place agreed with you, ending this splendid tour at that time.
